德國物理治療師說，孩子背起書包還可以單腳站立，就表示書包的重量沒超過孩子的負荷。

物理治療師郭慈說，以往大家以為，書包的重量不可超過孩子體重的十分之一。不過，這個標準不正確。實際上，孩子背自己體重三分之一重的書包也不會影響健康。

他也不建議用帶輪子的書包來減輕孩子的負擔，他說，拖書包可以減輕孩子背部和肩膀的負擔，但是卻會增加臀部和脊椎的壓力。
