美砸26億　防疫伊波拉

為遏止伊波拉疫情擴大，美國總統歐巴馬16日宣布最新計劃，稱將派3000名士兵至西非疫區提供醫療後援，並打算追加8800萬美元（約26.5億元台幣）防疫預算。目前伊波拉病毒已造成逾2400人死亡、4784確診病例。

歐巴馬今至亞特蘭大的疾病防治中心（CDC）宣布抗伊波拉援助計劃，包括將派3000名軍人到西非提供後援及醫療協助，預計2周後抵達，並預計在賴比瑞亞首都蒙羅維亞設立聯合指揮總部。美國也將在西非建立17處均設有100張病床的醫療機構，每周協助訓練500名醫療工作者，共持續6周。歐巴馬也要求追加約26.5億元台幣經費對抗伊波拉，包括加速生產實驗性疫苗「ZMapp」。

歐盟昨天呼籲國際社會增加援助，聯合國安理會後天將針對伊波拉疫情召開緊急會議。另外，獅子山當局稱，世界衛生組織（WHO）動作太慢，才導致當地第4名感染病毒的醫生因無法及時到德國接受醫治而死，但WHO回應，目前約有300名醫療人員感染病毒，約有一半病逝，他們只能先救治WHO員工，不可能每個人都救得到。（張渝萍／綜合外電報導）
