《芭比：我也可以當電腦工程師》一書將芭比描繪成一個無能又不負責任的電腦工程師，雖然身為工程師，但卻不會寫程式，只出意見，得由兩名男性友人Steve及Brian負責寫程式，而且還將含有病毒的隨身碟插入友人的電腦中，使得友人電腦上的檔案全部不見，最後還是由Steve及Brian出面收拾爛攤子。
