針對香港政府開始對「占中」清場，中國大陸外交部發言人華春瑩今天說，「占中」是「徹頭徹尾的違法活動，任何一個主權國家都不會容許」，大陸中央「堅定支持香港特區政府依法處置」。

大陸外交部下午舉行例行記者會，華春瑩在回答媒體提問時，作上述表示。

香港警方今天在「占中」行動核心旺角強力清場，2個小時內就驅趕了數百名參與者，並逮捕學生領袖岑敖暉、黃之鋒及至少100名參與者。(中央社)
