桃園沿海觀新藻礁生態區 縣府公告為保護區

爭議多時的桃園沿海觀新藻礁生態，桃園縣政府今天依野生動物保育法公告為保護區，公告日起生效，成為台灣第20個野生動物保護區。桃園縣政府表示，未來將依公告範圍及管制事項，落實藻礁保育，並強化稽查及取締，也籲請大家共同愛護藻礁。
 
觀新藻礁保護區涵蓋觀音鄉保生村、新屋鄉永興村及永安村，面積315公頃，分為核心區、緩衝區及永續利用區。核心區禁止任何改變或破壞其原有自然狀態，禁止農漁業行為，除核准的學術研究外，非經許可，任何人不得進入；緩衝區則訂定開放時間、人數及範圍，因為人潮踩踏會對藻礁產生一定影響，劃為保護區後將限制人數及時間，以人數總量管制及團進團出為原則；永續利用區則除漲潮前後2小時等禁止進入的時間以外，其餘時間開放民眾入內參觀。
 
桃園縣府重申，保護區若有偷排廢水等破壞藻礁行為，導致區內生物無法棲息者，依法可處6月以上5年以下有期徒刑，併科30萬元以上150萬元以下罰金。（石明啟／桃園報導）
