制止非法移民 法警發射催淚瓦斯

大批移民今天(17日)在法國北部港市加萊(Calais)，意圖強行登上貨車，以前往英國，並且向安全部隊丟石頭，引發警方對大批移民發射催淚瓦斯。
這是意圖前往英國尋求庇護的移民，與加萊港市當局一連串對立事件的最新一起。加萊的貨車可以開上渡輪，前往英國。
加萊當局正試圖緩和非法移民潮，跨越英吉利海峽前往英國。
加萊港務部門表示，大約250名移民今天清晨集結在港口外，其中1名移民在試圖登上貨車時跌傷頭部。而在救護車前來，要將這名移民送醫時，卻遭到大群移民上前制止。隨後大批移民撬開鐵絲網牆，闖進貨車檢查區，登上渡輪，並向警察石頭；警察遂發射催淚瓦斯回應。
到今天下午，情勢已經恢復正常。
加萊的問題並非始自今日。自從法國當局在2002年關閉桑加特(Sangatte)難民中心之後，加萊地區的非法移民人數就大幅攀升。
