Manny Pacquiao在《Boxing Scene》的訪問中聲稱，若是不跟Floyd Mayweather Jr.打一場比賽，自己絕對不會退休。

「我不希望我退休之後，粉絲們心中還抱持著一些疑問。」

菲律賓拳王預期Mayweather將會是他生涯中最強的對手，如果不跟他交手就退休，除了不甘心之外也認為這是一種恥辱。

上次兩人已經開過會，這場世紀對決似乎就差臨門一腳。

「這場戰鬥是一定會發生的，我希望在一周之內能搞定。」Manny說。

美國拳王前一陣子還在Instagram貼出與Manny開會的照片，並且錄了一段視頻，內容如下：「我祝賀他有一個成功的職業生涯，我也有一個成功的職業生涯，但是在我們離開這項運動之前，我們得讓這場拳賽發生。」

戰期仍然訂在5月2號沒變，轉播權利分配仍持續協商中，雙方團隊要是再不加快速度，全世界的拳擊迷們….還是只能癡癡的等。
