即將在10月30日開打的LPGA台灣錦標賽，今天公布參賽明星選手陣容，包括目前女子高球排名前4名「4大天后」都會參加。

冠名贊助的富邦金控表示，「2014富邦LPGA台灣錦標賽」總獎金高達200萬美元，全球排名前4的美國球后路易斯（Stacy Lewis）、韓國名將朴仁妃（InbeePark）、紐西蘭女將高寶璟（Lydia Ko）及前屆冠軍派特森（Suzann Pettersen）都確定參加。

前副總統蕭萬長6週前因練習高爾夫球不慎跌跤，今天仍坐著輪椅到會場站台。他表示，4年前在積極爭取下，LPGA賽事首肯到台灣比賽，過去3年由公營企業負責贊助，今年主辦權首度轉移至富邦金身上，不但代表民間更為重視高球運動，且贊助商高達50家，也有助於促成國內高球運動的風氣。

蕭萬長指出，在國內女子高球協會的積極爭取下，今年更有20名台灣選手參賽。對選手而言，增加國際賽經驗是很好的訓練機會，也有助於台灣利用女子高球運動在奧運奪牌。(中央社)
