（中央社阿姆斯特丹23日綜合外電報導）世界最大網路搜尋提供者谷歌公司（Google Inc.）計畫在未來4年內，花費約6億歐元（7.73億美元）在荷蘭興建供歐洲營運使用的資料中心。

谷歌全球基礎建設部門主任史特林（FrancoisSterin）今天在依姆薛芬（Eemshaven）舉行的記者會中說：「我們對這個區域很瞭解，有可用的土地，而且有對我們而言非常有利的氣候。」依姆薛芬位於阿姆斯特丹西北方215公里。

史特林說，一旦興建完成，谷歌將雇用約150名正式員工。

據荷蘭經濟部長坎普（Henk Kamp），荷蘭政府正試圖吸引如谷歌和微軟公司（Microsoft Corp.）等科技公司到這個工業中心。

依姆薛芬是連結美國和歐洲的跨大西洋高速光纖海纜在歐洲登陸的地點，且約有8000百萬瓦供電能力。

谷歌在依姆薛芬附近已經有一個資料中心，在比利時、芬蘭和愛爾蘭也有類似設施。大約1000名建築工人將參與興建這棟建築物的工程，預定2016年動工興建。（譯者：中央社簡長盛）1030923
