呂秀蓮：一生2次絕食都因國民黨

前副總統呂秀蓮今天下午展開聲援前總統陳水扁保外就醫絕食行動，並發表「我為何要絕食？」六點聲明。她絕食前哽咽說，很不幸，她一生兩次絕食，抗爭的對象都是中國國民黨政府。

呂秀蓮說，1981年因母親病危，她替美麗島事件坐牢無法探視，因此以絕食希望換取獄方准她探病，沒想到最後換來的是一紙騙她母親病情好轉的診斷書，以及隨後不久的噩耗，造成母女天人永隔，終身憾恨。

呂秀蓮說，沒想到33年後她還得以卸任副總統的身份，為拯救繫獄6年、百病纏身的卸任總統陳水扁絕食。法務部從2006到2011年5年之間，已經讓超過500名受刑人因延誤保外就醫而死亡。「法務部草菅人命，該當何罪？」

呂秀蓮說，國民黨雖然更換領導人，但其本質是冷酷無情、顢頇無能的。民進黨，如果連引領民進黨邁向執政里程的的陳水扁都救不了，「誰能相信你們可以救台灣、救2300萬人？」
