台北地檢與與彰化地檢署16日大動作搜索，不僅前往101大樓內的頂新辦公室、味全總公司、頂新前董事長魏應充的帝寶豪宅搜索，帶走大批資料與電腦，檢方根據越南油商楊振益的供詞，以及所查到的事證，在晚間發出傳票要求魏應充在8時30分前到案說明。

彰化地檢署16日上午，北上至101大樓內的頂新辦公室、味全總公司，以及頂新前董事長魏應充的帝寶豪宅搜索，帶走大批資料。但越南進口油商「大幸福」公司負責人楊振益，15日向檢方坦承頂新早就知道買的油是飼料油，而且原本每年只有中秋節、端午節、過年才會回到台灣，送禮物給常梅峯等主管，但在飼料油問題爆發之後，頂新緊急通知他回台開會串供，沒想到就被檢方逮住。

檢方根據楊振益的供詞，認為魏應充不可能不知情，且查扣的請款單、匯款單等相關文件上，都有魏應充的蓋章。台北地檢署在16日下午，趁頂新集團二董魏應交、魏應充、潤泰集團總裁尹衍樑，在開記者會的時候，再度前往味全總公司搜索，查扣兩台電腦。

因找到不少事證，彰化地檢署發出傳票，限定魏應充在晚間8時30分前到案說明，目前魏應充已經南下準備趕到地檢署，接受偵訊。
