【上下游新聞】美生菜輸日受阻 不敵低價競爭

台灣美生菜主要產區在雲林麥寮、崙背、二崙、褒忠，盛產期落在10月到3月，恰好高緯度國家因低溫無法不易生產，台灣美生菜雖然價格比馬來西亞、中國多三成，但品質優良、生產規劃完整，受到日本青睞，外銷量從2009年2,904公噸，成長到2012年7,726公噸，其中80%出口到日本，產值超過2億。

今年一月日本南方氣候比往常溫暖，需求量減少，打亂台灣外銷規劃，首度出口60貨櫃到中國，讓國內市場不致崩盤，但有農民說，出口仍是賠錢賣，只是少賠一點，「本來一顆賠10元，現在賠5元。」（上下游記者林慧貞/報導）
